Today seems as good a day as any to give an update on my work. I’ve still got the crud, but my fingers still work so here goes. I’ve just signed a new contract with Wilde City Press for my latest project, a paranormal crime thriller romantic suspense. I know that’s a mouthful, and WC will probably have a devil of a time finding a category for it, BUT that’s the great thing about Wilde City; they offer such a wide variety of gay lit that there’s pretty much a place for everything.
The novel is tentatively called Shadows Fall, and takes place in my home city of Charlotte, NC. I’m not going to give much info about it just yet, at least until I get the blurb written, but I will say it’s very intense, and I do plan for it to be a serial romantic suspense. Anyway, so the point of my little teaser is to let y’all know that I’m going to be investing a little bit in this project. I’ve hired a model and photographer for custom images for the cover and promo materials. Most of you know that I design my own covers. While the Wilde City designers are fantastic, being a graphic designer myself, I wouldn’t wish having me as a client on anyone! I tend to design the cover in my head as I’m writing the book.
Back to my news. So I’m not giving you any more details at the moment, other than my lovely model and photographer are all the way over in the UK, so I’m arranging this all long distance. But I’m soooo excited about it. Once we get close to the cover reveal, I’ll share some more details. It’s going to be great! In the comments, I’d love to hear what y’all think of book trailers. Do you watch them? Should I do one?
